I can tell you that the original orphanage building is still standing at the same site. Years ago, it was incorporated into what is now a Catholic girls' high school called Notre Dame. Somewhere, I have a picture of the building if that's of any interest to you. It might take me a while to locate it, but I could send it along if you'd like.

If you're looking for historical records, I would suggest the Archdiocese of San Jose. I have no idea what kind of records have been kept, but that's the logical place to start.
