It could very well have been the Denver Orphan's home. I recall the youngest children being in an area on the first floor. The rest of us were on the second floor.

Some say having been brought up in orphanages or children's homes will make a child stronger and I suppose in some ways it does. I realize not every private family oriented home is heaven sent, but I agree with you, it would have been nice to have a family relationship.
