Hello,

I was placed in the Denver Orphan's Home around 1954 with my sister and brother. Although we were not orphans our parents had divorced, my father took custody but worked two jobs. So, he placed us there and paid room and board. While we lived there for approximately 7 years I believe there was only one family of children who came in who actually had no parents and were truly orphans. The rest of us had one parent who worked and couldn't keep us at home.

My surname was Patty McGrew. I'd like to link up with anyone else who lived at the home, 1501 Albion Street, during that period of time. Just would like to know how your lives turned out and what you are doing now.
