I am interested in any photos that are available of St. Clara's. My husband's father, uncle and twin aunts were at St. Clara's for some time after their father died of the Spanish flu epidemic in 1918. Their mother tried to hire people to look after the children so she could work to support the children, but the people would lock the kids out of the house and eat all their food (according to the aunts). They were there for six years but I am unsure of the dates right now. I did a taped interview with the aunts many years ago and have someone working on cleaning it up so it is easier to hear and understand at this time. I transcribed what I could understand. I would love to have some photos of the orphanage to go with the story that the aunts told. They have all passed away some time ago. Their names were Albert, Ray, Thelma and Velma Linn. Their mother remarried and was able to go retrieve them from the orphanage and the family moved to Oregon.
