St. Clare's Orphanage or convent or school

I am looking for information regarding St. Clare's Convent or orphanage or school. The address in 1907 was 952 10th Street. Alternate address 952 Downing and 952 10th and Champo. I had an aunt who was at the convent I believe for a few months in 1907. Any history of this place would be appreciated.

St. Clara's Orphanage Registry

My mother-in-law, brother, and four sisters were in the St. Clara's Orphanage in 1936 to 1937 for approximately one year. We also believe that another sister was there at this time, but want to confirm this. Does anyone have any pictures of the children or registry information? Also, does anyone know who to contact for registry information (list of children, general health, ages, etc.)?

denver orphans' home

Does anyone know how to get records for this home? I found my grandfather Albert L Bivens (1892) and his brother Ernest (1898) were placed there in the 1900 census. Also there was two sisters Mary Jane (?) , Ruth Mazie (?). Ruth was adopted at the age of 5. What happen to Ernest and Mary Jane. What happen to their parents?

Denver Orphanage Home Information

This goes way back, but I have a letter that was received by my maternal grandmother regarding her time at the Orphanage. She had a brother Bernard and a sister Helen. Her name was Hannah. They were removed by their maternal mother Anna M Anderson in 1905, and placed in the orphanage in 1902. I have traced Anna's immigration to the US at the age of 15, but I am missing the following information: First husband, all information on Bernard (he most likely served in WWI), and some information on Helen. I do know that Helen married a man named Gino and lived in Carlen, Nevada, owning the local hotel.

Looking for folk who lived in Denver Orphan's Home from the mid 1950's through 1960

Hello,

I was placed in the Denver Orphan's Home around 1954 with my sister and brother. Although we were not orphans our parents had divorced, my father took custody but worked two jobs. So, he placed us there and paid room and board. While we lived there for approximately 7 years I believe there was only one family of children who came in who actually had no parents and were truly orphans. The rest of us had one parent who worked and couldn't keep us at home.

My surname was Patty McGrew. I'd like to link up with anyone else who lived at the home, 1501 Albion Street, during that period of time. Just would like to know how your lives turned out and what you are doing now.

Skirda in Colorado

My grandfather, John Skirda, born in 1897 was in an orphanage in Colorado in the 1900 census. He was in Mt. St. Vincent's Orphan Asylum. He was there with three other siblings, Annie, Mary, and Andrea. He and Mary (Louise) were taken in by a family named Wilson in the early 1900's. They were then raised in Compton, CA. He always went by the name Wilson. I'm wondering what happened to their parents and what happened to the other siblings?

Please help, names of Orphanage near Berwind Colorado 1911

I am looking for children/friends/adoptive family of Eleanor Martinez born around 1902. I am not sure if she was placed in a orphanage and then to a family or if she was just placed with a family. She is my great-aunt and although we have never met her she is a missing link in our lives. My grandfather (louis Martinez), which is Eleanor's biological brother, named his daughter after her. At the time of her placement Louis and Bennie Martinez searched for her but the family moved away purposely. If anyone has information or can tell me names of any orphanage in the Las Animas County area in 1911. I would be so greatful. Thank You,
From a niece searching.
