The Bibb County Children's Home was on Cochran Short Route. The county changed the name of the road years ago. I don't remember the new name(sorry),but, it was about 5-7 miles outside the Macon City Limits on Interstate 16-south.
Just past the home is an elementary school named Bernd(it used to be Florence Bernd Elementary) on the right. The Children's Home was on the left.I will look up the new name and email you back with it. Good luck
