We are not related to the Davises of the 1950s. The Mullins brothers: Elbert is the oldest and I believe the youngest name is Steve(not comletely sure, though). I remember Johnny Norris. When he got there, he was so young and could not pronounce his first name correctly...it sounded like Nonny, so we, the boys in the home, called him Nonny.
BTW, what is your name?
My brother Joseph Paul Davis visited the place 50 years ago and took a picture of Paralee in the kitchen. I believe I could find it if I look real hard. I visited 30 years ago and found it as a public school.
Don't be disappointed with the records people (maybe nuns). They were teachers and not records keepers. I believe when St. Joseph's "closed," the nuns, our records, and remaining boys were transferred to Atlanta. I was able to obtain a few records, such as confirmation certificates, grades, etc., and they are the original records.
