Just hoping someone knows of Leila who was adopted by the Welborn family about 1905. In 1930 census, my last account shows Leila Candler working in Milledgeville, Baldwin County, GA at one of the hospitals there. Her adoptive mother's family was from Milledgeville, so maybe she went over there with some of them and left Mr. Candler and their child Betty in Blairsville, who show in 1930 Union County GA Census.
Does anyone have the old pictures of this orphanage?
