Frances Sanford - Iowa Orphanage in 1860

I am researching Frances Sanford born 185/1851 in Kentucky, supposedly placed in an orphanage there (no clue about county or town) and then later moved to an Iowa orphanage (date unknown). I think there is a good chance she was in Iowa by 1860 but am not positive. Frances married Albert McCann in 1868 in Winterset, Madison County and they stayed in Madison County a few more years before moving to Kansas.

I have attempted to locate Frances (aka Fannie E.) on the 1860 census. All of the Frances or Fannie McCanns that I find in Kentucky or Iowa are living with their families. I know that Frances was in an orphanage at that time, but don't know where. I would think it possible that she was moved from Kentucky to Iowa pre-Civil War in anticipation of the war.

Does anyone have names of orphanages that were functioning in 1860 in Iowa? I would browse the 1860 census records for specific orphanages if I knew the orphanage name and location.
