How did you find out what orphanage you were put in? My husband, was adopted out of an orphanage. He was born August, 1942. All his mother ever told him is that it was in the south side of chicago. His parents lived there for a year before moving back to Indiana. He doesn't know anything more than that. Never wanted to know, but all of a sudden he is curious (at the ripe old age of 71). We actually just did the dna test on him yesterday. He really wants to know what he is and who he is. His mom was polish catholic, so we are pretty sure he came out of a cathoic orphanage. Any suggestions on starting to look? He said his mom marked out his birth certificate and changed a lot of stuff. Apparently when he wanted to get a passport years ago, it was really difficult.
