Hello
I was in St Vincent's in 1958- 62. My brother was in the baby room. He was 3. My sister Anna worked in the nursery. I have so many memories! Sister Mary Edna was in Office. Father Ambre was the priest. Sister Lucy, Sister Lourdine, Sister Acqueline , Sister Francis Clare all of them were there when I was. I also remember all the chant choir rehearsals too. I remember going to the farm where they butchered the cows, working in the sewing room and being taught to embroider and then Nun having you take it out if it didn't look as good on the back as the front, the priest house, the kitchen and those big refrigerators and freezers. The sanctuary was a time I was closest to God in my life. I became a Catholic there. Baptized and received my first communion at St Vincent's. I remember the swimming pool and then maybe a donut after. I played drums and symbol in the marching band. I was Lillian Ringel my sister was Anna Ringel ( She passed away at 33) Dale Ringel was my brother and he also died at 33.
I never liked it when the nun said graders to bed and the older girls got to stay up.
Blessings to all
Lillian Ringel
