My grandmother was in the New Orleans Female Asylum in 1906 until she was eighteen in 1915. This orphanage was operated by the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul. It was located at 1404 Clio Street. In 1921, it became a Catholic working girls' boarding house. This info came from a newspaper article that I found in my Grandmother's papers. I can not find any records about this either. Since there were several of these orphanages in NOLA, I would really like some info and/or records of this particular one. If anyone has any info please let me know.
