Classification: Query
Surnames: Zachary Morales
Hi, Zachary may not related to Luis and Juliana Luna even though they are included on a census form with a son named Zacarias. The dates and locations just don't jive with any other data. One of the Morales cousins does think he was born in Texas (acc to her father) but, he also could have been left in an orphanage in New Orleans (acc to Zachary's wife). I can't find any mention of him in any official paperwork until he shows up in Caldwell, KS ranch (cow herder), acc to one census account (assuming that his him!). He does not appear to have fought in any wars. And, his life seems to have begun at the time of his marriage as far as most census records go. His wife told a granddaughter that Zachary grew up in an orphanage run by someone named Lafleur. But, the only orphanage run buy a Mme Lafleur, was likely torn down to make way for a highway through the center of New Orleans. It might be the same small orphanage the infamous Lady Marmalade mentions in her bio.
