I was in St Vincents from 1940 to 1949, while there I had two brothers there for shorter times, (they were olderq than me). I remember sisters Sabastian (nurse), sister Noel,(she taught one of my kids in grade school), Sister Cirel, she was the principle and my great aunt. I sang soprano in the choir, we had sung on WFBR radio, the state prison, the Empty Stocking Club and other venues. We all had chores and slept in open dormitories, had victory gardens and quiet times for hobbies. I still have many memories of that place. I understand the buildings are gone and the grounds have been developed. If I remember rightly the address was on York Road, Govens Md.
