I recently found an 1850 Census of Ward 5 Baltimore MD listing for an ancestor who was age 6. He is listed with several other (unrelated) young boys. In the census page margin is what I believe to read "St. V. de P. M. O. A." I have found little information on a St Vincent Male Orphan Asylum in Baltimore and it indicated it formed later than 1850. Can anyone provide more info on this institution and how do I go about finding records from residents there?
