Please tell me where I can obtain records regarding this home and the residents....
My father was also placed there in 1921....along with two siblings. The siblings were picked by by their father, but for some reason my father, who was a baby, was left there until he was cared for by an elderly widow, Della Burdett, who lived on Travis, in Springfield.
His mother was either Dorothy (dollie) Faye Chilson....or Mary Chilson Jones. Mary died in a home fire, which is why Dollie, the half sister placed her half siblings into the home....but it's possible the baby was actually her's and not her mother's....or maybe there were two babies.
Do you have info....any names....where archives records may be??
