MS orphanages 1880-1900 list of orphans

Looking for information on where to find the names of children that were in orphanages in MS during 1880-1900. My gggrandfather (Jeremiah Coston) supposedly died abt 1877, leaving a wife (Frances B. Steelman Coston) and 3 sons (Phillip James, born 1868; Abraham born 1872 and Jeremiah born 1875). The family first shows up on 1870 census in Jones County, MS, then nothing until the 3 sons show up as landowners in Covington County. I am thinking that if the parents died (after 1875) the boys may have been placed in an orphanage since they don't show up living with any relative. Wanting to find where I might find a census of orphanages that might have existed during that time. Any guidance is appreciated.
