Looking for info on Orphanages in the Greensboro NC area. My grandfather Bynum Hargis Phillips b. 1906 and his brother Palmer T. Phillips were put in the orphanage about 1910 until 1924 - 1928. There parents were Palmer Thomas Phillips b. 1878 and wife Corrina Hargis Phillips were originally from Chatham County. Later their grandfather Bryan Phillips died Feb 11, 1922 and was buried in Greensboro, NC on Feb 12, 1922. So the boys had family in the area. Trying to find out why they were put in orphanage.
