My grandmother was born 12/18/1909 in a place, I believe, at the time was located in Cleves or Ross, OH. I believe it was affliated with the Salvation Army. She was then put in some orphanage and into foster homes.

What I would like to know is:
1) does anyone have any info what this place (Catherine Booth Hospital) was like in 1909, and if there was a certain orphanage associated with kids born into the Catherine Booth Hospital (home for unwed mothers)?

2) I looked up the in a current directory and found a listing and called it (now in Avondale, OH). They said they don't have those records on-site and if they did I'd have to get a court order to access them. Has anyone been through this process? What does it entail, how much does it cost, how long would it take?

Thanks so much!
