I suspect that my granmother may have resided at an orphanage of some kind for a period. She would never speak of her childhood extensively and it is only recently that I have been able to locate the names of her parents. Her name was Selina May Katon her d.o.b was 06/29/1920. I can find no records of her having lived with her parents. I have found census records that indicate she did reside with her siblings in 1940. I know that she spoke often of a woman referred to only as Mrs Sterns.
