My grandma and her two sisters were brought there in early nineteen hundreds because they're mother couldn't feed them, her husband had died. They stayed there for two years and my mom was telling me how horrible she was treated, beaten for peeing the bed, she was brought there when she was ten. Her name was sylvan dura ostechewsi, spelt wrong. Her sisters were named Munge and Geena, spelt wrong. Ugh. Then my great grandma found out and took them to Virginia Mn. To live with Italian relatives, the Alunis. Sam Aluni. I guess it wasn't much better. I'd appreciate some pictures if you have them. Is it still there? I'm from Poplar originally but live in az. My grandmas married name became Bishop. Thanks.
