I just wanted to commend you for wanting to share this photo with others who might have an interest. It is especially noteworthy, imo, in light of a recent experience I had with someone not at all inclined as are you and which had a most unpleasant outcome.

Anyway, its nice to see there are positive people about. Thank you.

I did post this about the photo. It's been so long I would have to locate the photo. I sent the photo via e-mail to someone who was related to the 2 boys and they added the photo to there tree for me. So you may view the photo by putting the boys names into the search bar.

The purpose of this board and before you post here

I am not sure what the intent of this board was. There is no such registry that I know of. Maybe the intent was to have one built but the creator ought to have have left instructions as to the intent so the users might have some kind of idea how to make use of this.

Right now this is a useless board persons post questions and no one answers them.

If you have a question regarding a photographer you need to google it. If a location is given, it is usually a town or city. You usually will have no idea what country the town is in.

Adams, Ross and Homer Photo

I inherited a photo of Ross and Homer Adams. I would like to give it to anyone who may be descended from them. It is a professional photo from Kingman, Kansas taken when the brothers were about 5&7? With a little research I found the boys living in Hoosier, Kingman, Kansas in the Kansas 1855-1925 census on Ancestry. The boys were 8&6 in this 1905 census. Their parents are listed as F C and Lillie Adams. The boys are dressed beautifully and have long spiral curls. The youngest one has a large bow in his hair.

St. Louis Photographer

The following advertisement of a St. Louis photographer is quoted in
'Photography' :-
"Marvellous results in photos , hair put on bald heads ; cute dimples
inserted in cheeks ; teeth removed if necessary ; thin people made stout ;
scowls removed from sombre faces , and winning smiles substituted ;
homeliness banished ; intelligence inserted in vacuous countenances ;
goo-goo eyes , longing looks and the baby stare furnished if desired .
Classic profiles , Grecian noses , and flashing eyes a speciality."
The Bruce Herald ( New Zealand ) May 22 , 1903
