Amish Ancestors

Surnames: Farmwald, Vormwald, Guengerich
It appears my ancestors are either Amish or Mennonite, paternally and maternally on my mother's side. I have been researching my ggg-grandmother, Magdalena Farmwald. I am seeking her maiden name. I have searched vital records in Ohio in various counties to no avail and have also placed ads in their community magazines and newspapers. She had one son, Jacob, who she brought with her from France (Alsace-Lorraine area) on August 15, 1847 when she was 47 and Jacob was 10, along with Elizabeth Farmwald (sister?-sister-in-law?). At this point, Magdalena was either never married and was herself a Farmwald, or her husband died before she came to the states. She never remarried which is odd in the Amish community. I believed her to be the daughter (daughter-in-law) of Johannes Vormwald, married to Barbara Guengerich) but recently received information that Johannes had a brother, Joseph, who may in fact be Magdalena's father, making Johannes her uncle (either by blood or by marriage). I don't want her to remain a mystery as I need this information for a book I am writing. Is there anyone out there who has Farmwald in their ancestry who may have ANY information I could research?? Please help me if you can.
Thanks so much,
Sue
