My great-grandfather Arnold Amann, immigrated from Switzerland in 1879. He married Mary Madglina Graber, dau of Daniel and Madglina "Mattie" Sauder Graber in 1883. She died in childbirth in April or May 1893. Their three surviving children are, Seth Amann (Amanns) Who liven in Zurich, Canada all his adult life, married twice, one son Seth Gibbons Amman, Elizabeth Anne Amanns Dorsett (my grandmother) married Walter Dorsett in IN in 1900, and Daniel Amann who lived next to the White river West of Washington, IN. and married Anna LAURA (Laurie) Colbert.

Would like to know about Arnold's parenta and ancestors, Have found that there is another Arnold Amann in the US about the same time I have been searching for him. He came to the US with a Emil (Amel) Wagner, who married an Elizabeth Graber, sister to his wife Mary. Don't know much else about the background of these men. Have the passage contract for Arnold, written in German, but so far havn't found his port of entry or his ship and list of passengers on the ship. Was told by another source that he and his friend Emil Wagner came on the same ship, together. Am on a fixed income so must rely on the internet and the correspondence or others, Was very luck when beginning my research and got a lot from 3rd and 4th cousing on several lines, so after 20 or so years am still learning how to do research. Having Adult ADD also makes this research more chalenging but a lot of fun, expecially when I find something new or a line that connects with any of mine.

Wordy, I know But to go on when talking and writing about my love of searching my ancestors.
