I'm trying to gather more information on
Rev.Samuel Williams, who organized the Congregational Chapel in Cripplestyle Dorset, in 1840.
What I have is Rev. Williams was born in Rhymney Mon. Wales and came to Dorset and lived with a schoolmaster to familiarize himself with the English language and later was sent to Cripplestyle. So I would think that he would have had some prior training in the church! ?
I have that he was in shaftsbury, Dorset asst 1839-40, then Cripplestyle 1840-81.
I there anyone who might be able to shed some light on the Rev. Williams...I'm specifically looking for any information on exactly where he would have been born as all the leads that I've followed seems that Ryhmney is very vague.
I have his father's name as Thomas Williams, from Rev. Williams' marriage certificate, and that he was a "manager of a mine" and no location
A push in any direction would be greatly appreciated
Thanks very much
