KAZAKOFF, Victor of Dalmeny passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014 in Saskatoon. He was predeceased by his parents Alex and Lusha Kazakoff; two brothers, Lloyd (Walter) and Boris. Victor was born in Kamsack, SK on November 11, 1941. After attending high school in Kamsack, he was employed by the Hudson Bay Company at various locations, including Chipewyan, AB and Fond du Lac, SK for approximately 10 years. In 1970 he returned to Kamsack to work on the family farm for two years. He then worked at the Esterhazy Potash Mine. In 1980 he was employed by Provincial Corrections Centre in Prince Albert and then in 1981 he was transferred to the Corrections Centre in Saskatoon. After attaining the position of team leader in 2006, he retired. Victor’s love of travelling took him to Russia, China, South Korea, Cuba and Mexico. The Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at the Shaw Centre (CARG) was a very positive experience where he made many new friends. Victor had requested there be no funeral but a memorial service will be planned for later this summer at Kamsack. Arrangements entrusted to Dalmeny Funeral Home 306-254-2022.
