I know that many times names were changed during immigration for ease of spelling or pronunciation. Through research I have found that Irving (great uncle) may be an attempt to translate Israel or Isaac, but I am having trouble with the name Max (great grandma). Any ideas what Max's Jewish name could have been? Immigrated 1901/02 from Russia (Lithuania-Latvia?) Also his wife (great gradma) was "Anna" or "Annie". This seems like a Jewish name. Perhaps her given? Thanks for any info.
