Could SNELL be a Jewish surname?

Classification: Query
Surnames: Snell
I found a Snell family in my tree, during the mid 1700's, going to the early 1800's. A few names in the family stuck out to me as slightly odd for the time.

Cyrus Snell (1778-1805)
Vashti Snell (1785-1838)
Lintha Snell (1794-1859)

When I looked up the names, both Vashti and Cyrus claimed to be Persian, but there were no results for Lintha. The names of their brothers and sisters didn't stick out at all: Betty, Mary, Nathan, Chloe, Luther, Abigail, and Rhoda.
