Re: my mother-in-law's family. I think "maybe" it's Andrew Morgan (for sure) Ramey b. 1896 Glendale OR, so John Ramey 1857-Mary Elizabeth Branham 1875, so Charles Ramey 1823 Floyd Co KY-Nancy Case, so William R. Ramey 1782 Fayette Co. VA (to Pike Co KY)-Anna Samlin 1784, so William Ramey 1760?-Eleanor Harrison, Pike Co KY, so Daniel Ramey 1743 VA to Clarke Co KY (in Battle of Kings Mountain)-Rachel Johnston, so James Remy 1715-Elizabeth Sanders, so William Remy 1672-Catherine Asbury, so Jaques (Jacob) Remy VA-Francois(e) Haldatt-Mary Miles, and so on. Their roots are apparently Huguenot. I'm thinking Huguenots MAY also be Sephardic, or akin to that group. Persecution, Protestantism, etc. Has anyone heard if this is so?
