In reading the previous poster, I find steps 1 and 2 a little hard for people that may not know if they are Sephardic Jews. The reason why I worded it that way, it sounds like those names maybe of Spanish origin. The Spanish Inquazition gave Jews a choice of either convert or dye. There are Jews all over the world that have strange traditions that go back generations but do not know why it is done. On PBS(Public Broadcasting Service) Sunday evening there is a show called Roots with Henry Louis Gates Jr. They had a show on with a past U.S Surgon General or Attorney General who was Hispanic. Turns out she was one of these Jews that I was talking about. Her grandmother would put up an idol (saint of some kind) and turn it around and spit. I do not get it but it was explained in the episode. It turns out she was Jewish like 10 generations back.

Just some info to think about.
