Would the Duvier be in the US now. My boyfriend is a Duvier whose family is primarily german with what I believe to be a french name.

I have found my Duvier family back to 1740 in Demmin County,Germany.I was told that we came from France but have yet to prove it.There is a town in Germany called Düvier.My grandmother's brother Leon Duvier landed on Ellis Island in the 1920's.I have found some Duvier's in the USA,but not any family that I know of.
I would like to know more about your boyfriends family as I need info. on about 7 siblings of my GGgrandfather Ferdinand Friedrich Christian Duvier.
