Babe Succumbs in Auto as Sire is Trial Witness

WASCO (Kern Co.), June 24
While William Valor (Valov) was on the witness stand testifying in the criminal case against Clinton H. Short, charged with disturbing the peace, his 3-1/2 month old son, Eddie, died in the mother's arms in an automobile outside the courtroom.

The charge of disturbing the peace grew out of the conduct of the defendant when he was involved in an automobile accident on June 8th, near Shafter, with the Valov machine.
The child was in the automobile at the time of the accident, and the cause of its death is being investigated by the authorities.

The trial of the case was postponed until July 7th at 9 a.m. and the jurors, who had already been sworn, were ordered to return at that time.

The Valovs who live at 4440 Hammel Street, Belvedere Gardens, Los Angeles were here looking at land which they expected to lease. In the car with Mr. and Mrs. Valov and the baby were their son, William, and Mr. and Mrs. John Samarin of Shafter.
The Valovs have eight children besides the baby who died.

They will return to their home at Belvedere Gardens for the funeral of the child.

I'm not sure if this is the same child. The birth date ties in. Please advise.

If it is the same child, then the parents would be Vasily Ahop Valov and Nastya Peter Kudenov
Known children: Tanya, Jane, Mary, William, Barbara, Anna, Alex, Natalie, Fred, Harry.

Please let me know if I'm incorrect. If I'm correct, how did they get Eddy from Harry?
