Quaker terms, disown and dismiss question

I have seen the term disown used in Quaker terminology but have not found a similar term "dismiss".

A distant relative of mine was probably a Quaker widow and was recorded as dismissed at the time she remarried.

If i could find whether dismissed was a Quaker term used in the mid 1880s it might help prove that she was indeed a member of the Quakers.
