What does " dis. " Mean?

I'm just starting working with our family tree, and I have a bunch of papers from when my grandpa was working on it. One is a copy of a page from a book. At the top it says, "Georgia, Vermont, Vital Records." The page has a listing of last names, with entries underneath using first names. Such as:

Chloe, b. Nov. 30, 1802; V1 & V2

Obviously, "b." is born, "m." is married, and "d." is died. I assume "V1" is Volume 1.

But then I have a couple like this:

Horace, dis. Jan 11, 1824; CC

What does "dis." mean? I'm not sure what CC is either. The date lies between birth and death.
