Philip and his brother Josiah are documented in Vital Records of Chester, Hampshire Co., Mass as being born 1796 and 1799 respectively. In 1820 Census Philip is living Pawling, Dutchess County NY where in the Connecticut Nutmegger newspaper Josiah marries Abigail Johnson in 1818.My great-great grandfather's death cert lists his parents as Josiah Quigley and Abigail Johnson. He lived in Ontario County, New York.
Apparently both brothers fall off the earth. I have tried every misspelling of the Quigley name and searched in Mass. Conn. and New York census reports and if they owned land or left a will. WHAT NOW !!!!!
