I am looking for info on my grandmothers family. Her father's family was from Germany and her mother's family was from Ohio.
I have a lot of info but at the same time NO info! I will start with the German side.
Wilhemenia Wintgens b- 18 Nov 1853 Not sure what her maiden name was. All her kids marriage license have different spelling from Barkfke, von Barkoef, and (Von) Brogroski or Grogroski.
Married - Lambert Wintgens Also very little info. I have his naturalization paper from Perry Co, Ohio, dated 1 Nov 1895. Also, I found him in the 1900 Census living with a family as a boarder. Info from this: Birthplace Belgium, Birth - Apr 1844, Estimated marriage year - 1883, and immigrated - 1893. (Name on census Lambert L*Intgens) Cannot locate any other info. Not on any other census, no birth, marriage or death. The family he was living with on the 1900 Census was living in Athens Co, Ohio on the 1910 Census, he was not with them.
Pauline F. - 1881 married John C Friedinghaus
Adolf - 1879 Cannot locate any other info other than when he came to USA in 1894
Augusta - 1880 married Herman Theisan
Otto Alvis - 21 May 1883 married Julia (Flora) Emmaline Bigum
Gustave - 14 Dec 1884 married Jessie Pinkerton

The first ship manifest I can find is with Wilhemenia bringing the children over from Germany. She also was bringing their neice, Maria Kapaunke. It also states that their last residence was Bruckhaus. (Bruckhausen?)
