Yeah, I am pretty sure I already found Carsten's info. I had found him in someone's family tree and I contacted that member and she did get back to me. She was researching Carstens child, Edwin. She didn't have anymore info on Carsten that I did, but he was in the same area as Emma in MN. All the things you recommended me to look for. He is her uncle or great uncle. Now to find out why she traveled with him and not her parents.

Emma's parents were not married when they had her back in 1890. They got married about a month and half after she was born. Was it common back in those days to have babies before you got married? I thought I remember reading something awhile back about a law in place where you had to be so old and reached ceratin achievements before you were allowed to marry and that because of that alot of children born before parents married.

I was thanking her over and over again.

I might have to open the wine tonight hahaha
