I also have a Jessie in my family-spelled just like yours. Might I also suggest you consider Jessie May, Jessie Belle, Jessie Sue, and Jessie Lynn-in all variations (without the e and without the space etc.) Also don't forget Jess and Jesse. What a pain huh? As for name charges with age those ending with ie and y usually indicate a younger version as names usually adopted the more formal variant with age, eg Danny becomes Dan or Daniel and Chrissy becomes Christina. But for every rule there is of course the exception-some Peggys never become Margaret. Especially if there is another by the same name in the family.
