I have exhausted my research efforts on my French-Indian side through living relatives, family heirlooms, google searches, contacting the tribal counsels, historical books on the land settlement of early French territory in the US, talked to several county historical societies within those areas, and going through the LDS. I found only a few documents that explain much, but none including my relatives before the 1820s.

My 3rd great grandparents were one side French(Gma), one side Peoria tribe (Gpa).

I have heard Indian research is limited compared to European, do you think hiring an expert through ancestry is worth $1900-$2500 for standard research?

Cheers,

Philip
