Hi
Probably along with many other researchers, My family's history include tales of lost wealth. This, I have taken pretty much with a pinch of salt, especially since most of my family were Labourers and Coal miners. Until I came across a news paper article whereby my 4x great grand uncle placed an advert in a local newspaper laying claim to an estate in Cheshire. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find any more information on this claim (other than being certain he was not sucesfull). But I would like to find out what gave him cause to believe that he was entitled. Was he actually related to the family, or was he just going by the coincidence of having the same surname. He must of had some legal advice in placing the advert as the concact given is an Attourney in Stafford.

Anyone have any ideas how I might find more information on this?
