I was introduced to this wonderful site through another ancestry member. It takes a bit of effort but it was about the only way to locate much of the data I found for ancestors in that part of England. They post digital copies of parish books, etc. Searches are by date range, area and surname. Search will return a set of books or documents you can look through. It can be tedious but you can often find a lot about one or more families in each book. As you go from page to page, there is an index of surnames from that page.
