Family History Microfilms may now be ordered online

The Family History Library has with little doubt the worlds largest collection of genealogy records in the world. This collection includes records from over 1,100 Croatian parish records, in the form of microfilms.

Up until very recently if you wanted to order one of these records from one of the several thousand local Family History Centers you needed to go to the local Family History Center to order the film.

Family History has recently begun offering the convience of ordering the film online. All you need is a computer with an Internet connection and a user ID, which is free.

The microfilms shipped to the Family History Center near you and you will be notified when they arrive. To view the films you still need to go the local Family History Center.

The service allows you to reserve and loan films to family history centers and affiliate libraries. The fee for renting the film is $5.50
