Now Violet Taylor was from Pender County, North Carolina in Rocky Mount. I found her in the 1880 census records she was 15 or 16 at the time. She was head of household, with no parents or guardians. I would like to know in the 1870 census records what happened to her parents or guardians. She was black and some of the people living with her was, Lydia Taylor 14 or 15 and Henry Taylor age 12 or 13.

I lookup in Heritage quest for a Violet Taylor. I found only one living in North Carolina in 1870, but she was 30 years old. I further looked and did not find any Taylors in Pender county in 1870. There were none on Heritage Quest in Pender county. I wish I could have found this individual for you.

Its another Violet Taylor in the 1880 Census records in Union, Pender County. They got her age wrong but she is living with Lydia, Henry, and she is head of the household. I dont know if this Violet Taylor is double counted or two different Violet Taylor
