What a generous offer!
My brick wall is my great gandfather, Albert Brook(s).
In his obit, it says that he was born Apr. 15, 1845 in Poland to Godlip and Magdaline Brook. Albert came to the US in 1869 and filed for emmigration in Jasper County, Indiana in 1872. Albert died Aug. 14, 1939 in Jasper County, Indiana. In the census, it list his birth place as Germany. Was wondering if you can access emmergration or passenger lists. In emmigration, his name would be listed as Brooks. I would love to find anything on Albert, to find out my original last name, to see if I have any family.
Thanks,
Ken Brook

Jennifer, you are a most generous soul!!
If you aren't already too inundated with request's, could you please see if you are able to find anything on Oscar (first name possibly L. according to marriage booklet found) Dennis? He was born about 1880, and died 20 Sep 1917 in an automobile accident (he was driving a motorcycle). I have found newspaper articles concerning the accident but they do not identify his parents, nor give any real intimate details.
He was probably born in Virginia, but his last address was in Charles Town (2 words), Jefferson County, WV. He married Essie Virginia Sours in 1904 in Hagerstown, Maryland. Essie was from Luray, Page Co, Virginia.
I would appreciate any info you find on the surname Dennis from these area's, as he is a complete mystery.

Thanks so very much for your kind offer Jennifer. Please don't hesitate to email me even to say you don't have time to look.
sincerely,
Joyce
