I am looking for Dock F. Carden, maybe listed as Dock Frank or Doctor F. married Nancy. In 1910 Polk County, TN census Dock F. is listed as age 49, Nancy age 48, oldest listed child age 24. 1880 Census lists Doctor F. as age 17, son of Jasper (age 57) and Elizabeth (age 45). I would like marriage and death if it's listed, and if it's not too much to ask, maybe you could see if Jasper and Elizabeth are listed, as I have no info at all on them other than what is in the 1880 Census.

Thank you very much. Kathy

I would like to request lookup of
Isaac Bonine born 1802 possible Roane Co, Tenn, parents unknown.
He married Sarah "Sally" Merrett (Merritt) 1-26-1826
Blount Co, Tennessee. Sarah was born 1801 in Carter Co, Tennessee. Her parents being Thomas Marriott and Elizabeth Sugget, Elizabeth born abt 1770 in VA.

Son Thomas William or William Thomas born 1827 possibly Blount Co, or Roane.
Dau Permelia Ann 5 -2-1832 same counties
Son, James Madison 5-23-1836 possible Tenn, but could be ILL or MO
Believe they then left Tenn as next son John Warren born Jan 1837 is born either MO or ILL

As far as any Bonine Research knows this Isaac is not related to the Bonine's who became Quakers. NOT David and Prudence Williams Bonine, but you never know.

Note I found is an Isaac Bonine listed on tax roll for 2nd District in Capt White's Co Roane Co, Tenn 1830 name spelled as Bonign
Possible brother is Jacob Bonine who married Christina Pesterfield 1825 Blount Co.

THANKS
Any help is greatly appreciated

I am trying to trace the Steel family in Franklin county. Mary Virginia Steel married Isaac Newton Wise and had children before 1920 and should be there in either the '20 or '30 census. Need information on where she was born since her father Levi vanished during the time she was born.

Thank you very much!

Surnames: SMITH, CAIN, PROFFITT
I have several SMITHs that I am looking for and I hope you can help. I am looking for a marriage cert for Benjamin SMITH, who married Martha CAIN in Campbell Co, TN about 1832, based upon her first child's birthdate. Here is more info on them in case you need it. I know the way SMITHs are to look up.
Benjamin SMITH
b. November 20, 1791, Granville Co, NC
d. September 11, 1866, Campbell Co, NC
Martha CAIN
b. Bet. 1800 - 1810, poss. Campbell Co, TN
d. Bet. October 1847 - 1849, Campbell Co, TN
She was his first wife.
His second wife was Rhoda PROFFITT. I am also looking for their marriage cert. I believe they were married abt 1848, right after Martha's death, in Campbell Co, TN.
Rhoda (Roda) PROFFITT
b. March 10, 1805, Campbell Co, TN
d. January 13, 1866, Campbell Co, TN

I am hoping that you can help me connect and prove these unions for DAR as well as connecting Martha CAIN with her father, who I believe was David CAIN. Thank you in advance.

I would please like help finding WILLIAM RILEY STUBBLEFIELD family in the 1870 census.
I found this family in the 1850 & 1860 Gibson Co., TN census.

His brother JOHN S. STUBBBLEFIELD family was also listed in 1850 & 1860 Gibson Co. TN census but oved to Hopkins Co., TX in between 1862 & 1865.

cc below the 1850 & 1860 census William RILEY STUBBLEFIELD family (wife #1 & #2) information:

1850 census Gibson County TN.(below), we find Nancy (Clorence) STUBBLEFIELD with her two youngest (Robert Coleman STUBBLEFIELD & Abraham "Absalom" STUBBLEFIELD) with two older sons (William RILEY STUBBLEFIELD & John S. Stubblefield) living near, with their young growing families.
Also note that Nancy's older son ( William RILEY STUBBLEFIELD) had children born in Alabama, three/five years before the 1850 Gibson County, TN census. Which would indicate that they moved from AL. to Gibson County, TN. about 1848-9, to join their mother and siblings. Did John S. Stubblefield go with his mother in 1840-41 to TN or stay in AL with who?, and travel to join her in TN later?

Gibson County TN 1850 CENSUS Civil District No. 11
Pages 284A-298B

William STUBBLEFIELD 8/12 M TN (15 May 1850 TN d:17 feb 1904)

Nancy STUBBLEFIELD 3 F AL (b: 1847 AL)
John STUBBLEFIELD 9/12 M TN (b: Oct 1850 TN)

2225
Nancy STUBBLEFIELD 45 F Farmer TN? (SC)
Robert STUBBLEFIELD 18 M AL
Abraham (Absalom) STUBBLEFIELD 11 M TN

I have BETHENIA (BELL) STUBBLEFIELD b: C. 1824 NC., m: JOHN S. STUBBLEFIELD b: 1827 AL., in the 1850 Gibson Co., TN census with their children, but just recently, I noticed that there was another household listed next door to them with a BELL family (which I think could be BETHENIA BELL'S mother and siblings because they were born in NC also).

Here is what I found:
LYDIA BELL ,55, F, W, NC
ELDRIDGE P. BELL 25, M, W, NC
(Bethenia would fit in here)
ELEANOR BELL, 21, F, W, TN
ANDREW BELL, 18, M, E, TN.

That information would indicate that this family moved from NC to TN about 1829 (by the birth-dates in TN).

Gibson County, TENNESSEE MARRIAGES
http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/ifetch2?/u1/data/tn+ind...

BELL, Andrew marr. YEATES, Parolle on 21-OCT-1852

I still need to look in TX 1870 census to see if the Bell family moved to TX with the Stubblefields, or stayed in TN.

1860 census,
We find Nancy's two older sons (William & John) still in Gibson County, TN , so they did not make the trek to CA with the rest of the STUBBLEFIELD family:

after this census in 1860 in Gibson Co TN. we find that JOHN S.STUBBLEFIELD family had moved to Texas, where they had more children :
BETHENIA / BETTIE STUBBLEFIELD b:1865 d: 22 July 1939
STEPHEN H STUBBLEFIELD b: 11 July 1866 d: 14 Aug 1948
THOMAS E. STUBBLEFIELD b: 25 Mar 1870 in Hopkins Co., Sulpher Bluff,TX
I need a Print Out of the 1870 census TX.

Here is John S. Stubblefield's brother William w/ his family in the same 1860 Gibson Co., TN census:
(note: William RILEY STUBBLEFIELD married to Mary Belch in 1858 in Gibson County, TENNESSEE, Mary too young to have brought Margaret to marriage with her, so Margaret must be Elizabeth )

16 2128 2151 STUBBLEFIELD Thomas 1 M TN ( child of Mary 1859)

I need to find William RILEY STUBBLEFIELD & family in 1870 census.

Any ideas or suggestions are welcome
Thank you
