I am looking for information pertaining to a Walter TC Barnes and a Mary Frances Mccune. They may be the parents to my Fannie Lou Barnes. (Aka: Francis/Frances E) Walter and Mary were married in Troup County, as was Fannie and her husband George.

I do know that Walter TC enlisted September 23, 1861 as a private in Company D, 35th Regiment, Georgia Volunteer Infantry. He later died in VA. This would mean that he died while Fannie was young, and his wife, found later in Texas to be living with Fannie and George Hammett was a widow and never remarried. It is also said that Mary had 3 children, two of which lived. Someone said that Fannie had a sister Mary. I would like to know if she did indeed have a sister named Mary. (Perhaps a census lookup would produce this information?)

I'd also like to know who Walter's father was. Speculation says that Walter TC's father was a William who married a Phebe ? and Phebe later married a Noah Peppin. They were also married in Troup Co.

ANY further information at all that could be pulled from ANY records would be excellent. I'm not sure where else to look =) I would sincerely appreciate ANYONE's help. Thank you so much.
