Anyone going to the Maine State Archives in Augusta?

Greetings. I'm in Memphis. If anyone is going to do research at the MSA, I've got a few specific things I'm trying to find. They're post 1922 vital records, so not available online apparently. From their website, it looks like they'll be on microfilm.

Not asking for a special trip - just anyone that'll be there anyway & wouldn't mind an extra few minutes of research. Please send me an email & I'll send you my names/dates so you can see if it's something you want to try. Thanks very much in advance. Chris

Obit Lookup - John and Susan Levesque (Aroostook Co., ME)

Hi,

Would like an obituary lookup for a husband and wife - John Peter Levesque (passed away May 14, 1912 in Woodland, Aroostook Co.) and his wife, Susan (nee Little) Levesque (passed away June 29, 1909 in Caribou, Aroostook Co.).

According to John Peter Levesque's death record, he was 109 when he passed away - must have been one of the oldest living Americans when he died. Hoping his obituary reflects/confirms this.

Regards,
gully

I am looking for any information about a Hill family that lived on Page Street in North Windham as late as 1994. This family may be able to help me with my "brick wall." Charles who died in 1994 I believe had the same grandfather as my husband's mother.
Any help or hint will be greatly appreciated

Charles Cazalet married Judith Smith in Portland in 1821

I would appreciate any suggestions on next steps.
There is a Charles Cazalet mentioned in the Portland,Maine, Argus newspaper on Oct. 5, 1821. The story says Charles, of Portsmouth (no state), married a Judith Smith, of Portland.

My ancestor, Charles Cazalet, is listed as a fruiter in the 1830 New York City Directory. His wife (Mary) Jane, is a fruiterer at the same address from 1831 to 1835, then nothing.
There is nothing about them in the 1829 NYC Directory or the 1836 or later Directories.
They had a son, John, about 1831.
It's interesting that Jane is not listed as "Cazalet, Jane, widow of Charles, fruiterer, 28 Barclay," but just "Cazalet, Jane, fruiterer, 28 Barclay."
In 1902, John listed his mother's maiden name on a marriage certificate, but it is not legible. It looks like Ebb??, but I don't think it's Ebbets.
I think Charles and Jane may have immigrated from Cork, Ireland, but there is no hint of them in the arrival records between 1820 and 1830 in New York.
I may have found Jane and her son, John, in the 1850 Census living in the 7th Ward. 28 Barclay was probably in the 3 or 4 Ward, so they had moved from lower Manhattan northward. The 1850 census says they were both born in Ireland, but John was born at 28 Barclay. Neither has any occupation listed, which makes me wonder how they survived. It appears that Jane was 50 in 1850.
There is a Charles Cazalet, a tanner, living in Cork, Ireland, until at least 1809 accord to Cork City Directories. He is possibly Charles, the fruiter's father.
Where can I look to document where they came from before 1830? Did he arrive at Portland? At Portsmouth? Portsmouth Maine? Portsmouth, New Hampshire? Portsmouth, Rhode Island? Could Charles have been at Portmouth Naval Shipyard? A sailor in the British Navy? Jumped ship?
If Judith died between 1821 and 1829 would there be a record? I can't find a Cazalet in any Maine, New Hampshire or Rhode Island censuses from the time.

Susan Lynch and James Cluney

Susan Lynch was born in Penobscot, Washington County, Maine in 1834. She married James Cluney around 1865. I am guessing they married in Maine because I went to the Archdiocese of Boston and there were no marriage records on file for either of them. Is there someone out there who can help me?
