Hello all! I started my research a few months ago and was having much success with the one side of my family but now I am stuck on the other side.

I am interested in finding out information on my 2nd great grandparents. My 2nd great grandfather's name is Augustus Reese (b. 1856 - PA, d. 1919- Phila, PA) and my 2nd great grandmother's name is Mary Jane (b. 1858- ENG, d. 1896- Phila PA). I can not find much information about them. I have pulled census records of 1880 & 1900.

1880 Census states that Augustus & Mary Jane lived in Philadelphia with 2 children Mary Jane & John. The oldest being 3 in 1880.

1900 Census states that Augustus married Annie and had four children living with them in Philadelphia - all 4 children have their mother's birthplace as England so none of them are Annie's.

I did find a marriage record for Augustus and Annie but I am not interested in anything else as they had no children.

I am stuck since the archive centers stated that there are no birth records and that I should contact their church. Well I can not figure out what religion they practiced. Also, I can not seem to find out Mary Jane's maiden name - another user had it has Farguha - but that is a dead search. So I am interested in their birth records, Mary Jane's naturalization record, and their marriage record.

I can not go any further without finding some more leading information.
