Can someone explain what I am doing incorrectly?

Can someone help me to understand what I am doing wrong? I have numerous duplicate citation sources.

Example from Overview Tab:
I entered my ancestor in this manner:
Given Middle Surname

Under Birth are listed 4 citations - all different (this seems correct)

His Arrival, however, is listed 5 times
Three of these Arrival citations are identical (NY Passenger Lists 1820-1957)
A fourth Arrival Citation is listed under US Naturalization Papers
The fifth Arrival Citation is listed under 1930 Federal Census.

I'm wondering if there are duplications because his name appears with a middle initial in some places and no middle name at all in another. Am I supposed only to reference one source? I just want to do it correctly. Should I only reference the source with his full Given Middle and Surname?

Likewise his residence is listed 3 times but each citation references a different source ie. WWI Draft, 1930 Federal Census, US Naturalization records.

Do I keep every source I can find?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Jane
