You're asking about how to do this using the ACOM member tree program, correct?

The program enables you to add more than one set of parents, and choose which you "prefer" to display. The key word is display, the relationships are not displayed at the same time. There is no wrong or right way, this sounds like people may still be living in your scenario and you should be sensitive to the living.

-Go to the profile page of the child, F.

-Click "edit this person"

-Click the tab "Relationships"

The display on this page has "J" lists as the father, correct? He is the biological father.

Do you have a biological mother listed? It is your choice whether you want to add this data, which you can do by clicking on the + add mother.

You'll see the system has designated those relationships as "biological".

You can add the adoptive parents by clicking "+ add an alternate father" and "+ add an alternate mother". Since these people are already in your tree, choose *Select someone in your tree*.

Once you add the alternate parents, go back to the *Relationship* page of the child and designate the relationship, by clicking the "Change" link, select *adopted* and save.

You can choose which set of parents you want to display by setting which one you *as preferred*.

If you set the biological parents as preferred, the profile page of the child will display those parents. The profile pages of the biological mother and father will display the child as their child.

If you go to the profile page of either the adoptive mother and father, those will display the child in their list of children.
